ahhhhhh, the guestbook. most weddings have them. you know, the oddly sized, overpriced white pleather or satin covered books with pages and pages of nothing but lines for people to illegibly signs their names. because that’s a keepsake that you’re going to hold on to forever and look through all the time, right?
probably not.
we took a little different approach. add some sharpies, an instructional sign, and cookbooks by bobby flay & tyler florence and here you have two fabulous guests books that we will indeed pick up and and look through often.
and each time we choose a recipe from one of these books & cook together, we will be reminded of our great family & friends and the wonderful time we had on our big day, which is a much better memory than any glorified pleather bound notebook can provide.
This was such a great idea. I don’t know how I missed it when I walked in though!
Who’s Zainylainy? Elaine? At any rate, a truly great idea!
LOVE this idea! What a neat way of remembering your special day. We didn’t use a “traditional” guest book either. I just can’t stand it when I’m at a wedding and only 3 pages are filled.. then what? You going to get autographs of random people to fill in the rest of the book? What you did was so memorable. Just wonderful. 🙂
ugh. Where were you when we were planning our stuffy Southern Baptist wedding?! You are a genius.
Did you guys come up with this all by yourselves? Friggin genius!!! So perfect for you two!! I must say, I looove that idea!!
