an all purpose red rub for all you grilling needs. good for chicken, ribs, veggies, probably fries, and i can only imagine it would be good on popcorn too.
we rubbed it on a pork shoulder and smoked it for hours last summer. the same may happen this weekend.
from the dinosaur bar-b-que cookbook
(MAKES 2 3/4 CUPS)
1/2 cup paprika
1/2 cup kosher salt
1/2 cup light brown sugar, well packed
1/2 cup granulated garlic
6 tablespoons granulated onion
1/4 cup chili powder
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1. mix all ingredients together & store in an airtight container until ready to use.
