jalapeno popper dip

this dip has everything there is to love about a jalapeno popper all wrapped up in one delicious dish.the husband & i brought this to two parties in a week’s time & people hovered until the dish was empty each time.  & maybe even licked clean.

i won’t name names.  you know who you are.

& with plenty of holiday get togethers in the near future, not to mention football & basketball games to watch, there are plenty of occasions for you to grab some tortilla chips, whip this up & watch it quickly disappear!

2 8oz packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
1 4oz can chopped green chiles, undrained
1 4oz can diced jalapenos, undrained
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
tortilla chips, toasted baguette, &/or veggies for serving

1.  preheat oven to 375°.  in a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, chiles, jalapenos, cheddar & mozzarella cheeses.  mix thoroughly.  spread evenly in an 8 x 8 baking dish.

2.  in a small bowl (or cutting board, paper towel, paper plate where you grated your parmesan…) mix together panko & parmesan.  sprinkle evenly on top of the cream cheese mixture.  place in the oven & bake for 25-30 minutes, until the topping is nice & golden brown.  serve while hot & watch your friends flock & devour.
