thirsty thursday | raleigh beer week in review

Last week was a good week to live in Raleigh.

Bars, restaurants & bottle shops dug out their stored kegs & dusted off their stashed bottles of rare, hard to find & special occasion brews to put on an awesome week of events for beer lovers in the City of Oaks.

Like us.

While we didn’t make it to every event we wanted to (like the beer cocktails at Foundation), we did make it out three of the five days, we were in town last week (to Busy Bee x2 & Tasty Beverage) & grabbed tastes of:

Founder’s Kentucky Breakfast Stout (x2)
Terrapin Knob Creek Maple Syrup Monk’s Revenge
Bruery White Oak
New Belgium Valentine’s Day Beer
New Belgium Super IPA
New Belgium Cocoa Mole
New Belgium Front Porch Peach Lounger
Evil Twin Femme Fatal Brett
Fullsteam Sour Summer Basil
Thirsty Dog Belgian Bourbon Imperial Stout

BTW…If you’re wondering how we keep track of all these great beers, it’s through the awesome app Untappd.  It allows you to search for the beer you’re drinking, check in at different locations, earn badges, add friends & even create a beer “wish list”.  It’s pretty sweet, really.
